This Privacy Policy describes how FilmTexture (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our website (filmtexture.com) and related services. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Data Controller
FilmTexture is based in Istanbul, Turkey. We are the data controller responsible for processing your personal data in accordance with:

- EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), where applicable to EU/EEA residents
- California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), where applicable to California residents

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Website Purchases

We do not collect or store your credit or debit card details. Payment processing on the website is handled exclusively by our PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment provider. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.

FilmTexture does not:
- Track your activity across other apps or websites
- Collect advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking
- Sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data to any third party for any purpose
- Use your data for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not share data with data brokers, advertisers, or marketing platforms.
5. International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers operate outside of Turkey and the EU/EEA. When personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure adequate protection through:
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
- Contractual commitments from service providers ensuring equivalent data protection
- Your explicit consent, obtained when you agree to these terms
6. Cookies and Local Storage
Our website analytics provider does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. We do not use any third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.
We use your browser’s localStorage to store:
- Shopping cart contents: Product IDs, names, and prices of items in your cart. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted until you initiate checkout.
- Theme preference: Your dark/light mode selection.
Essential cookies may be set by our payment provider during checkout to facilitate payment security. These are strictly necessary and do not require consent.

After the retention period expires, personal data is permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

8.2 Account Deletion
You have the right to request complete deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To delete your account:
- In the iOS app: Go to Settings > Sign Out, or contact us directly
- Via email: Send a request to privacy@filmtexture.com
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete your account and associated personal data within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain (such as purchase records for tax compliance). We will confirm the deletion via email.
8.3 Additional Rights for California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:
- Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
- No Sale of Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information as defined by the CCPA. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
8.4 Additional Rights for EU/EEA Residents (GDPR)

- Right to claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing

9. How to Exercise Your Rights

Your request must include your full name and the email address associated with your account or purchase. We will verify your identity before processing the request. We will respond within 30 days, free of charge. If the request requires extensive research, we may extend the response period by an additional 30 days and will inform you accordingly.

10. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
- PCI DSS Level 1 compliant payment processing
- Strict access controls and authentication for all administrative systems
- Regular security reviews and dependency audits
- No storage of payment card data on our systems
11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms:
- We will notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach
- We will notify affected individuals without undue delay when the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their rights
- We will document all breaches and the measures taken in response
12. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects on you. Country detection for currency display is used solely for pricing convenience and does not affect your rights or access to products.
13. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately at privacy@filmtexture.com and we will promptly delete the data.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We will provide notice of material changes via email to the address associated with your account, where feasible. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
